Dr Calderbank graduated from the University of Manchester in the UK in 2004. He was initially commissioned into the Royal Army Medical Corps where he served for 11 years and trained in general surgery, entering higher surgical training with membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (England).
On leaving the Forces he re-trained as a General Practitioner completing time in pediatrics and psychiatry before moving with his family to Perth.
His medical interests include chronic health care, child health, men's health, and Veteran's health. In addition, Dr Calderbank works as a Senior Clinical Lecturer teaching at the UWA Medical School. Outside of medicine he enjoys martial arts, hiking, running, cycling and gardening.
